The 9th annual "Corazon" silent auction of artwork, much of it in the shape of a heart, to benefit the Center for Artistic Revolution is coming Saturday, June 1, to Boswell-Mourot Fine Art, 5815 Kavanaugh Blvd.

CAR, which works with and for the LGBTQ community and its allies, held the first "Corazon" auction (then accompanied by Mexican food, reflecting organizer Randi Romo's roots) upstairs at the Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church. It was successful then and it continues to be, though it will now take place in a Heights gallery, thanks to an offer by gallery co-owner Kyle Boswell.

The auction is silent and starts at 6 p.m. You can see hearts past and present on CAR's Facebook page.

Love the patched up heart by Catherine Meredith (above) to be auctioned Saturday, along with glass by Judd Mann, a wire heart by Jaquita Phillips Ball, and an angel sculpture by Mitchell McClenney, among other works.
