What a year it's been for Cody Belew. Something like 45,000 people auditioned to be on the NBC hit show "The Voice," and the Beebe native made it all the way to the top eight, in the process getting to work with CeeLo Green on a regular basis during his time on the show.

Belew shone with making-them-his-own renditions of the Dolly Parton hit "Jolene," Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," Queen's "Somebody to Love," and Tina Turner's "The Best," among others.

The judges reiterated this often, but Belew's progress was remarkable. He went from looking a little apprehensive early on in the proceedings to practically owning the stage, especially on "Somebody to Love," with that sharp green suit and gospel choir.

Rodney Block & The Real Music Lovers and singer Jeron Marshall will open this concert and will be Belew's backing band as well.

Belew told the Times via email that he's "going to take the audience on a ride that stops off at all my 'Voice' performances. The rest of the show will be songs that I wanted to sing on the show, and songs that I had success in singing since my beginnings in Little Rock. I pushed for a venue that could host all ages because I know that I've got young fans too, and that this will be a first for a lot of them. I want this to be a concert that everyone will love."

He wrote: "I want people to leave the show thinking, 'MAN! He really does put on a great show!'"

Based on Belew's growth as a performer in recent months, there's no doubt that people will leave thinking just that.
