Restaurant 1620 general manager Rick Qualls sent out an e-mail yesterday informing diners and the public that the restaurant will be closing June 30 for what he called "a complete make-over of the restaurant from top to bottom." Qualls said the restaurant will re-open in early September. In exchange for their patience during the retrofit, Qualls promised that the new and improved 1620 will be "one of the finest restaurants ever imagined in West Little Rock."

Dear Friends and Family of Restaurant 1620,
As we approach our 25 year anniversary here at 1620, we are very excited and proud to announce that we are finalizing plans for an extensive remodel of our lovely restaurant. We will not be appearing on any of the famous reality TV shows, but we will be doing a complete make-over of the restaurant from top to bottom. Unfortunately, we will be closing our door’s July 1st for the renovation. And will be closed through-out July and August for this to take place.
Therefore we here at 1620, would like to invite you to come and join us for dinner before we close on June 30th. We promise to re-open the doors in the beginning of September with one of the finest restaurants ever imagined in West Little Rock. Complete with a few surprises.
Thank You for your Continued Support,
