What you'll cook at WRI: Easter buffet and more




The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute's Guest Chef Series class tomorrow, March 10, still has spaces left, so if you want to learn about "Celebrating the Easter Buffet" with Don Bingham, go here. Bingham will give hands-on lessons in technique and recipes. Class runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $80 a person.

If Bingham's name sounds familiar to you, it's because he was the Governor's Mansion administrator during the Huckabee administration. Don, if you're reading this, cut the butter in my grandmother's fruitcake recipe by a third or so.

Other upcoming cooking classes include "Making Nutrition Delicious: Soups, Stews, & Chili," 10 a.m. to noon March 21, $35, (register here); "Table for Two," described as a date night experience with class beginning at 5 p.m. March 23 and including a four-course meal, night's lodging and continental breakfast, $200 per couple (register here); and "Made from Scratch,” a culinary workshop with Robert Hall demonstrating how to make scale a recipe, shop and prepare a meal for two, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 24, $80 (register here).
