In case you're not used to checking it already, the Times' events calendar (right hand column directly across from Eye Candy on the home page) includes information about art shows and events all over Arkansas. Just click on the ART box under the calendar to get all events, or on the date to see what's happening on this day.
For example, if you click on Jan. 10 and then on the arts category in the left hand column, you'll see at the top of the page that this was the last day to see "Playing at War: Children's Civil War Era Toys" at the Historic Arkansas Museum (sorry!), that an exhibition of sculpture and drawings by Michael Warrick ("Life Forms") opens Thursday at UALR's Gallery II, that you've got until Saturday to see Gallery 26's Holiday Art Show, and until Sunday to see the Will Barnet and metalworks exhibitions at the Arkansas Arts Center, that you've got until Jan. 25 to apply for a Thea Foundation scholarship in creative writing (for high school seniors) and much more.
To further narrow your search, click on the links to galleries or museums now in the left hand column and you won't have to scroll through theater listings, etc.
