FU: A reception, and an appeal

Fayetteville Underground opens its October shows tonight with a reception from 5-9 p.m., as part of Fayetteville's First Thursday events. It also opens a campaign, "Save the Fayetteville Underground, so it can move from the basement level of East Square Plaza. There are redevelopment plans for the building and the non-profit will have to move when its lease expires in January. October shows at the FU: "Life's Little Cakes — Architectural Elements," ceramics by Kelley Hatfield Wilks, Revolver Gallery; "Set My Watch Against the City Clock," photography by Sabine Schmidt, Vault, "Animal Technology," paintings by Becki Lamascus and jewelry by Grace Horan in the Hive; and "Metal Transactions," jewelry and wall hangings by Teresa Hall in the E Street Gallery.
