Walton Arts, which purchased the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Fayetteville in February, announced today a major overhaul of the venue, which will see it move from in the middle of a parking lot to a grassy space. The new capacity will be around 6,400, with expanded seating, much of it covered.

Walton Arts hopes to complete the project by summer 2012.

Look for some bigger names to start coming through then.

More on the project, including additional artist renderings, from Fayetteville Flyer.
