But… while we were there we noticed they were serving Vienna Beef dogs, not Petit Jean Meat dogs like the Russellville store. And indeed, they do make a Chicago dog. It is mighty fine — complete with blue-green relish, sport peppers, celery salt and a poppy seed bun. My Chicago-expert traveling companion declared it just as good as any he’d had up north.
So, two Chicago dogs in Arkansas. Two amazing Vienna Beef weinies out there in the correct assemblage and proportion to those found in the Windy City. And you know, there’s a third I’m being pestered about… that I will have to share with you later this week… that is, once I hunt down a specific food truck. More soon.
