It's been a long while since we've heard regular dispatches from SL Jones, the Little Rock-raised protege of Killer Mike and member of Mike's infamous Grind Time Rap clique.

Last week, Jones teamed up with fellow Arkie Errol Westbrook (better known as E-Dubb) on for Driveby Music, a moody piece of Southern bounce produced by Lex Luger (Waka Flocka Flame, Rick Ross and, recently, the Kanye/Jay-Z collaboration "H.A.M.").

Today, Jones releases "The Number 23," his first mixtape in ages, on DatPiff and Bandcamp.

He may be based in Atlanta now days, but the mixtape is full of allusions to Little Rock, least of all the title: a reference to the 23rd and Wolfe neighborhood he was raised in.

The tape features guest spots Killer Mike, Waka Flocka Flame, Yo Gotti and Trae tha Truth. Luda even pokes in for a second in "For Two Three."
