Matt & Kim, the hugely popular geek-pride/synth-pop duo, will surely bring out a huge chunk of their national cult following for tonight's show at UCA's annual Spring Fling party, 5 p.m.
At White Water Tavern, Bonnie Montgomery Trucking lands on stage for a night of lightning-sharp, squarely Southern tunes, 10 p.m., donations.
Bonnie also plays earlier in the evening for tonight's "Tales From the South" taping at Starving Artist Cafe, which features guest author (and Times columnist) Graham Gordy, 7 p.m.
Post-hardcore, emo and electronica get mashed together by Breathe Carolina, which plays Juanita's tonight with Before Their Eyes and This Century, 8 p.m., $15.
Straight-forward country rockers Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors (recently featured on Showtime series "United States of Tara") hit Sticky Fingerz with Nashville trio Mockingbird Son, 9 p.m., $10.
And, as ever, karaoke rules Tuesday nights at Cornerstone Pub, Prost, Denton's Trotline and Town Pump. All 8 p.m., all free.
