Seoul coming to The Heights

RECONSTRUCTION: Satellite Cafe becomes Seoul

UPDATE: Owner Dong Lee is hoping to be open by the end of this week. Lee, who owned Hanaroo downtown before opening Eastern Flames, is of Korean heritage. Before moving to Little Rock, he owned three different restaurants in Austin, Texas that served Korean and Japanese fare, so Seoul is a return to his restaurant roots.

Lee said he expects his hours to be 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. during the week and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. He'll close on Sunday.

The folks who've run Eastern Flames are picking up and moving on up — shedding the old Japanese sushi house on Cantrell and heading to the old Satellite Cafe location on Kavanaugh. The new concept, Seoul, will feature Korean barbecue specialties, bibimbap and more. Some Japanese favorites will be available on the new menu. If all goes well, we'll see the restaurant open in the next couple of weeks.
