Competition is underway over at the lobby of the Peabody Hotel, where six chefs are vying for the chance to meet last year’s Diamond Chef Daniel Capello for a June matchup. I should be there; alas, medical issues are keeping me home. However, the more than capable and quite talented Christie Ison is live blogging the event. UPDATE: Chef Cindy East-Malik of Pulaski Technical College pulled out a victory in the final round of the preliminaries. She will go on to face Chef Daniel Capello June 7th in the final competition.
