Charlaine Harris
The Arkansas Literary Festival, April 7-13, announced its slate of authors this morning.

The big names: vamp queen Charlaine Harris; humorist David Sedaris, who was previously announced and who, unlike most all other authors, will cost to see; fantasy hero Peter S. Beagle and celebrity profiler and ghostwriter Alanna Nash.

Other names you might be excited about:

Popular blogger Ree Drummond, author of "The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels."

Novelist John Brandon ("Arkansas" and "Citrus County").

Novelist Benjamin Hale ("The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore")

Lead culinary instructor at the Viking Cooking School in Greenwood, Miss. and the author of "Somebody Stole the Cornbread from My Dressing" Elizabeth Heiskell.

Novelist Mona Simpson ("My Hollywood").

Plus, just about every Arkansas-connected writer: Robin Becker, Kevin Brockmeier, Supreme Court Justice Robert Brown, Janet Carson, Laura Parker Castoro, Mark Christ, Ace Collins, Graham Gordy, Jay Jennings, Janie and Wyatt Jones, Si Kahn, Mara Leveritt, Carla McClafferty, Jo McDougal, Phillip McMath, Carl Moneyhon, Tom Paradise, Kyran Pittman, Lee Richardson (he's part of a new cookbook anthology), Paul Reyes, Mark Spitizer, Brock Thompson, Kane Webb and I'm sure I'm leaving out a couple.
