Some 60 North Arkansas artists are opening their studios this weekend for two self-guided tours, "Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour" and "Ozark Mountains Artists Studio Tour."
Among the 40 artists participating in "Off the Beaten Path" (Mountain View, Calico Rock, Pineville, Leslie and Fox) are J.P. Rosenquist (silver), Sage and Tom Holland (beads), Joe Bruhin (ceramics), Marc Palmer (watercolors and linoleum cut prints), Paulette Palmer (art dolls) and Owen Rein (baskets). For a map and list of artists go here or to the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce the square.
William McNamara (paintings and woodcuts), Don Nelms (photography), Wendell Norton (paintings) and Rebecca Holden (pottery) are among the 20 participants in the "Ozark Mountains Artists Studio Tour" (Jasper, Marble Falls, Gum Springs, Ponca and Hwy. 21). Maps available here or at the Cliff House restaurant outside Jasper, the Boardwalk Cafe in Jasper, the Chamber of Commerce in Jasper or Neighbors Mill Bakery in Harrison.
Both tours run Sept. 17-19.
