I'm going to miss the opening of the inaugural exhibit of the V.I.T.A.L. (Visual Images that Affect Lives) artists collective at the Terry House, the Arkansas Arts Center's Community Gallery. The show will include work by African-American artists Melverue Abraham, Rex Deloney, La Toya Hobbs, Ariston Jacks (whose work appears above), Kalari Turner and Michael Worsham. The opening reception is 5-8 p.m. June 11; the show runs through Aug. 28. I'll report on the show when I'm back in town.
