Atkins is host to the ever popular 19th Annual Atkins Picklefest this weekend. Travel to the birthplace of the fried pickle for lots of fun and compete in pickle eating and pickle juice drinking contests. Always fun. There's a little information on the website.
In Dermott, it's the 27th Annual Crawfish Festival. Crawfish dinners will be available starting at noon today and running through whenever they run out some time tomorrow. It's a great couple of days on the Delta. More information at the event website.
Speaking of mudbugs, there's the 20th Annual Crawdad Days in Harrison. There's a car show, a cardboard boat race and of course a crawdad eating contest. The website has more information.
There's the 4th Annual Yardbird Cookoff in Hot Springs... Wild Wines of the World at the Little Rock Zoo, a Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop at Lake Poinsett State Park, and last but not least by any means the Jewish Food Festival at the Little Rock Rivermarket on Sunday.
So if you're still hungry after this weekend, it's your own fault. So much to choose from, so little time...
