Daily Digest: Kris, Armistead, David Foster, Lollapalooza

This guy dipped three tins of Skoal a day.

Tech-savvy fans of the late David Foster Wallace will be thrilled to hear that his frustrating, divisive coup de grace, "Infinite Jest," has been released for the new Apple iPad with "enriched footnote capabilities."

After singing for the president of Rwanda, Kris Allen will perform at Saline Summer Daze in Benton on Saturday, May 29. Say what you will about his slipping showbiz stock: we know that if you're invited to a Saline County party, you don't refuse.

The first two books of Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City" series will hit the musical stage in their native San Francisco in May 2011. The writers? "Avenue Q" co-scribe Jeff Whitty and two Scissor Sisters. The director? Fayetteville's Jason Moore.

Right now, Lollapalooza is releasing their 2010 lineup, Wheel of Fortune-style. Only the letters 'O' and 'R' are up as of now, but so far I'm seeing Soundgarden, Green Day, Lady Gaga, The Strokes, Arcade Fire and maybe Phoenix and Devo. Definitely not there are Toro y Moi, Die Antwoord and up and comers Roar Rotor Roar, Room for Horror, Oreo de Oro and Rorrororroooroo.
