If you don't watch anything else, please skip to 3:43.

Only in clip form, but beggars can't be choosers. To which you might be saying, "Beggars, who?"

Believe me, if you've been lucky enough to catch any of Chambliss' work at film festivals or via bootleg copies, you're begging.

The self-taught filmmaker has been writing, producing and editing films for 30 years in Locust Bayou (near Camden). These aren't low budget films; they're no budget films, starring Chambliss' friends and shot and edited with the same sort of equipment on which your dad probably filmed your soccer games.

Though you might think so at first, this isn't "The Room." Chambliss isn't so over-the-top inept, he's great. Instead of Tommy Wiseau, think David Lynch, but infinitely weirder. And Southern.

It's way past time for a DVD retrospective. Chambliss has long been a cult hero on the film fest circuit.

You can catch him in person this weekend at the Ozark Foothills FilmFest in Batesville, where he's presenting "The Funeral Center" (there's a clip of it above) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
