Wednesday: Owl City, Ear Fear

Owl City.

Owl City, the performance name for Adam Young, comes to Revolution tonight a sold-out show. Grown folks, consider scalping your tickets to youngsters. "Fireflies," the single that Owl City took to the top of the Billboard charts last year, is like one of those ultrasonic frequencies that inflict physical pain on people of a certain age (like mine). It's sort of a one-man Nickleback to Pearl Jam's Postal Service.

At Union, Bobby and 607 are Ear Fear, 10 p.m., free. DJ Discipline provides support.

The Pink Ribbon Comedy Tour, originally scheduled for last night, bumps out a rock show tonight at Juanita's, 8 p.m., $10. The tour benefits the Komen Foundation.

At the Afterthought, saxophonist Dave Williams and Co. play jazz, 8 p.m., $5.

As usual, Lucious Spiller does a mix of covers and originals at Sticky Fingerz, 9:30 p.m., $5.
