Who says you can't improve your luck? Enjoy lots of great delicacies to ring in the Asian New Year February 13th and celebrate the coming of the Year of the Tiger. A nine course banquet will be presented at New Asia Chinese Restaurant in Maumelle that evening starting at 5:30 p.m.
The hubster and I have attended this event several times and are always amazed by the variety of offered dishes. First time we went I had thousand year eggs for the first time, second time mangosteen fruit and jellyfish. There's always something new and neat to try, and if you're really not excited about something that's okay, there's plenty more food a-comin'.
And there are always fun games and door prizes. Learn how to say "Happy New Year" in Chinese and Korean. There's an auction of neat items that'll include things like dinners for two, stays at hotels, and items of fine art.
I'm going. Are you? It's $26 for adults, $18 for kids 8-12 and $10 for kids 4-7. Under that is free. That covers your nine-course meal, tax and non-alcoholic beverages. For more information, contact Wilma Houston at (501) 244-2490 or by email (don't contact the restaurant, please). Oh, make sure you get your reservations in by January 26th.
