By request, I’ve been searching out restaurants that plan to be open on Christmas Day.  So far, very few local operations plan to serve up food, opting instead to allow employees to spend time with their families.  The main exceptions:  Oriental variety restaurants, such as Panda Garden at Shackleford Crossing and Shogun on Cantrell.  Capital Bar and Grill plans to be open, but Ashley’s will be closed.  Of course, there are chains such as IHOP and Waffle House…

UPDATE:  Kristy at Mt. Magazine State Park says the SkyCrest Restaurant there will be serving Christmas buffet.  Heading to the highest point in the state sounds like a very good idea, considering the weather.

Ann adds Igibon Japanese Food House to the mix.
