Come listen to this guy.
At noon at the Clinton School today, a pioneer in micro-philanthropy.
Adam Carter, chairman of the Cause & Effect Foundation
, spends his summers as a beer vendor at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Park, where he cheers on his home-town Cubs and White Sox while also raising funds for his off-season humanitarian missions to Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. A Fulbright Scholar with a master’s degree in international development, Carter distributed more than $10,000 in microcredit loans last year. His work has included providing mosquito nets to combat malaria in Africa, supporting a women’s small business initiative in Senegal and delivering food to hungry children in Brazil.
