*The jukebox musical "Million Dollar Quartet" is heading to Broadway next spring. Currently playing at the Apollo Theater in Chicago, it centers on the 1956 recording session that brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley at Sun Records in 1956.

This is the second mixtape musical to consider Cash's legacy in recent years. "Ring of Fire" played in 2006.

Betcha Celebrity Attractions brings the touring production of "MDQ" here in a couple years. [NY Times]

*"Avenue Q" is ending its Broadway run, but not shutting down production. Instead, in a rare move, it's headed Off Broadway. Fayetteville native Jason Moore will continue to direct. [NY Times]

* The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre has announced its 2010 season: "Henry V," "Comedy of Errors," "Dracula" and "Alice in Wonderland." Memberships are on-sale now. The AST is teaming with the UALR theater department to produced "Twelfth Night" at UALR Oct. 15-25, too. [KARK]
