UCA celebrates 'Blood Car'

UCA continues its recent run of bringing in a smart, oddball mix of artists in residence by hosting Georgia filmmaker Mike Brune this week. He's the star and director of "Blood Car," one of the best midnight movies we've seen in ages. You'll get the idea by watch the trailer and reading the synopsis here.

He's also the director of the short "The Adventure," which won Best Short at the LRFF last year.

Tonight, that film screens at 6 p.m. at Stanley Russ Hall room 103. Tomorrow, "Blood Car" screens at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall. See the full schedule below. The residency will include a film screening and discussion of The Adventure at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16 in Stanley Russ Hall room 103; a digital filmmaking Q&A at 9:25 a.m., also in Stanley Russ 103; a Q&A on directing and acting for the camera in Snow Fine Arts Center 210; and a public screening and discussion of Blood Car at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall, all on Thursday, Sept. 17; and a Q&A on
writing the short film at 10 a.m. on Sept. 18 in Stanley Russ 208.
