The Slow Foods Movement comes to Argenta for the new school year. Time For Lunch is a special gathering of folks at the Certified Arkansas Farmers Market on Labor Day, to send a message to Congress: real food belongs in schools.
The Eat-In is set for noon, and it's a potluck. Looks like a good chance to share a community picnic to me. More information on the jump.
Here's the information:
On Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2009, people in communities all over the country will sit down to share a meal with their neighbors and kids. This National Day of Action will send a clear message to Congress: It's time to provide America's children with real food at school.
Join us at our local Central Arkansas Eat-In. You'll bring your favorite potluck dishes and your friends and families. We'll provide tables, chairs, tents and some beverages. Together, we'll share good, REAL food, and we'll send a message to Congress that we care about what our kids eat at school.
So please, come join us for a fun and meaningful potluck lunch. See you on Labor Day!
