If you get right down to it, that's what Taste of the Town has become... a lot of small plates from a whole lot of local restaurants. A chance to check out what so many of North Little Rock's eateries have to offer. One night, one place, and a thousand little plates worth of food.
I've enjoyed it in the past... had a blast checking out this and that. There's always something for just about everyone to eat. This year's offerings come from both sides of the river. Among those participating: Cafe La Pace, Cantina Laredo, Lindsey's BBQ, Starving Artist Cafe, Ump's... and a whole lot of area beverage distributors. There are beverages both of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic sorts. And the price isn't bad -- $15 in advance or $20 at the door. They're expecting 1500 people to come through this year. My suggestion from year's past... go early to avoid the biggest rush, and wear comfortable shoes. It'll be held at Verizon Arena September 24th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ashley Height at (501) 372-5959 or by e-mail. You can order tickets with the form at the website.
