Sometimes a surprise can be a good thing. Was going to check out another restaurant in Cabot the other day and instead found Sorella’s Italian Restaurant. It was late, we were hungry, and we were tired of looking, so we decided to check it out.
The prices were the first thing we noticed -- entrees are reasonably priced, in the $6-12 range. We decided to try an appetizer and went for the brushetta ($5.95). We were pleased by the somewhat spicy tomatoes but almost overwhelmed by the heavy garlic mix. Vampires must not come within a mile of this place. More on the jump.
My dining companion went for the Chicken Genovese ($8.95), chicken breast topped with asparagus and mozarella cheese over spaghetti in a alfredo sauce with a touch of marinara. The somewhat pinkish dish contained very soft asparagus and had a lovely bite to it.
I chose the Veal Damabianca ($11.95) , and was almost overwhelmed by all the mushrooms that came with the veal in its sherry alfredo sauce. Also served over spaghetti, and extraordinarily hearty.
The rolls, by the way, are country-bread dense and served with real butter… almost a meal in themselves.
