What the blog, y'all?

Tonight, at Movies in the Park: Two hours of "This is one doodle that can't be un-did, Homeskillet" and other wonderfully droll dialogue from former stripper Diablo Cody. Dusk, free. BTW, Rock Candy wholeheartedly endorses "Ghostbusters" for the Viewers' Choice. Vote here.

At Juanita's, big time post-grunge act Future Leaders of the World (fronted by Machina's Phil Taylor) headlines, with Dark from Day One and Evacuate the City opening, 9 p.m., $7 (all ages).

At the Afterthought, Americana genre benders the Pope County Bootleggers perform, 8 p.m., $5.

As usual, for your DJ fix, Wolf E Wolf, the Phonies and Stepchild host School of Dub at On the Rocks, 9 p.m., free, while DJ Shawn Lee spins indie electro jams at Deep, 9 p.m., $5 (ladies free).

And Copper Grill celebrates its second birthday with free apps, birthday cake and drink specials, 5 p.m.
