At Ya Ya's, local rock 'n' soul group the Big John Miller Band covers songs you know, 8 p.m., free.

Freewheeling folk rockers Damn Bullets return to White Water, 10 p.m., $5.

Power 92's Tre' Day spins R&B and hip-hop jams at the Peabody's RiverTop Party, which will also feature steel drummer Harp from Trinidad, the Sirens dance team and a limbo contest, 9 p.m., $5.

On the Rocks hosts local rock band Jeff Coleman and the Feeders, 9 p.m., $5.

At the Afterthought, Rodney Block and Company deliver a funky brand of jazz, 9 p.m., $7.

Stylistically diverse rock band Notion headlines at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5.

Little Rock-based alt-rockers the BreakThrough shares the bill at Juanita's with Poor Boy Tango, 10 p.m., $7.

SATURDAY 7/18

Austin's Reckless Kelly brings its country rock to Revolution, 9 p.m., $12 adv., $14 d.o.s.

It's an anniversary show  at Sticky Fingerz for bands with members who graduated five years ago from UCA featuring Rollin' Jack Dandies, Almost Legends and the Red Suite, 9 p.m., $6.

Vino's concludes a battle of the bands with Rigby Fawkes, Chasing the Shadows, Townsend, Rusty Hook and Battle Within squaring off, 8 p.m., $5.
