In just a few short hours, John Ratzenberger, who played Cliff on “Cheers” and apparently was on “Dancing with the Stars,” will serve as the grand marshal for the First Ever Sixth Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hot Springs. The San Diego Chicken is going to be there, too. The parade starts at 6 p.m., but festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m.

At Vino’s, Scottish Brian Hirrell, of Loch Ness Monster, belts traditional Irish songs. He’s sharing the bill with party-happy pop-punks the Weisenheimers, 8 p.m., $5.

From Cincinnati, Bad Veins play angst-y indie rock. Maybe you’ve heard them on “The City”? Maybe not. Also, Tina Sparkle is a indie-rock trio from Peoria, Illinois, and John the Savage comes from Milwaukee and is seven-pieces. All at White Water, 9:30 p.m., $3 donations.

Bluegrass favs Runaway Planet pick and grin at the Afterthought, 8 p.m., $7.
