The faithful Blog correspondent eLwood of Springdale files a good report on a favorite Asian eatery in the Northwest corner of the state:
Fayetteville and NWA offer many Asian food restaurants. But none is so diverse as Asian Fusion, the latest entry in Fayetteville's eclectic eating establishments. Located at 701 So. School in the former Elenita's Mexican Cafe the place speaks gently of a different landscape.
Owner Raj Thuruzam brings recipes from his native Malaysia and fuses his entire offering with dishes from India, China and Japan.
Shown are my favorites: Fish Sambal (top), Ginger Shrimp (next), and Laksa (below), a huge bowl of rice noodes in a delightful sauce topped with fresh herbs. Prices are moderate. A recent party of eight with appetizers ran $140 without wine which is not yet on the menu but pending.
