"The Book Guys," the nationally syndicated public radio show on book collecting, is saying so long after tonight's broadcast. It can be heard at 7 p.m. on KUAR.

Blame the economy say the Book Guys. Blame the bookstores that sell collectible books are dying right and left, say I.

As they have for the last three or four years, Allan Stypeck and his co-host Mike Cuthbert will kick off the Arkansas Literary Festival with a program that this year will produced for broadcast only on KUAR. That's April 16.

Beginning March 3, Phil Mariage's "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," which may be the most inane radio show in the history of radio, moves into "The Book Guys" spot, Tuesdays at 7 p.m. A literary interview show, "New Letters on the Air," will follow it.
