An e-mail comes today signaling the closing of Gypsy's, the end of more than two decades of fine French cooking from Denis Seyer and family, including Le Casse Croute and Alouette's.
An e-mail from Denis and Antoine Seyer:
It is with sadness that I am announcing the closing of Gypsy's on January 31rst. After considering personal and financial issues, we have decided to sell the business. For the last 29 years we have met a lot of wonderful customers many of whom became great friends and we are very very grateful for that. Antoine and I will keep you all in our thoughts as we travel new roads.
My wonderful American adventure started in Little Rock in 1975 and I will always consider it my home. I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody that supported us all these years in our different ventures, hoping that we were able to bring some culinary joy in your lives.
The new owner will open in April with a different concept, we wish him great success. Again thank you so much and farewell.
Denis and Antoine
