Take note, car junkies: The Rock's Auto Extravaganza, at the Statehouse Convention Center, features street rods, muscle cars and the like, 9 a.m., $8 adv., $10 d.o.s., through Sunday.

Hugely popular Texas alt-country band Cross Canadian Ragweed returns to Revolution for what's bound to be another sold-out show, 9 p.m., $20 adv., $25 d.o.s.

Friends of American Princes' bassist Luke Hunsicker, who recently underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumor, continue to raise money to help offset his medical bills. At Downtown Music, Big Boots (whose roster normally includes Hunsicker), Whale Fire and Echo Canyon share the bill for the benefit show, 8 p.m., $6.

At the Afterthought, Donna Massey & Blue-Eyed Soul plays songs you know, 9 p.m., $7.

Cody Belew shows off his impressive pipes at Off Center's “Back to School Blast”; John Willis also performs, 8 p.m., $3-$4.

SATURDAY 1/24

At Downtown, Ace Spade and the Whores of Babylon shares the bill with the hard-rockin' Devil's Right Hand Band and the Jurx and the Nasties, 8 p.m., $6.

At Off Center, Jeff Coleman and the Feeders play blues rock, 8 p.m., $5.

Ramona Smith sings jazz-inflected R&B with Carl Mouton accompanying on keys at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7.

At Discovery, regulars Platinumb and Justin Sane hold it down in the club, while g-force mans the lobby, midnight, $10.

Cover band Mean Green Music Machine headlines at Cajun's, 9 p.m., $5.
