Four reasons to plan a trip to NWA

1. Hipster demigod Ira Glass is coming to Walton Arts for a lecture. He'll talk for 60 minutes then answer questions for 30. Tickets are $20-$38. 8 p.m., Jan. 31. Fayetteville Flyer's hosting a contest to win a pair of tix.

2. The much-acclaimed dirty Muppet musical "Avenue Q" is playing at Walton Arts from Tue., Feb 17. to Sun. Feb. 22. Tickets are $20-$58. Fayetteville native Jason Moore directed the musical on its original Broadway run.

3. Lucinda Williams is playing the UARK Ballroom 8 p.m., Wed., Feb. 25. Looks like tickets aren't onsale yet.

4. I told you awhile back about Wakarusa's initial (marginal) line-up (Buckethead's playing). The Mulberry Mountain festival isn't until early June, but the website's already announced that RV Sites have sold out. So if you're interested and care about where you camp, might pay to jump on it.
