It's a bands-with-easily-confused-names special tonight at White Water. From Houston, the Sideshow Tramp's
worship at the feet of Tom Waits and make their own instruments (we reviewed
them last time they came through). From Austin, the Sideshow Tragedy
play jam-y roots rock, 10 p.m., $5.
At the Afterthought, there's a tribute for local jazz bassist Ivan Yarbrough
featuring just about everyone in the local scene, 7:30 p.m., $10.
And the Clinton School has a double-header. First, Jean Firstberg
, the former head of the American Film Institute speaks at 5 p.m. And at 7 p.m., Jerry Springer
(yep, that Jerry Springer) talks about the American Dream.
