Punknews.org is streaming “All Aboard: A Tribute to Johnny Cash,” which was released yesterday. Ben Nichols offers up an understated cover “Delia’s Gone,” which might be incentive for the Lucero faithful to grab the comp. Chuck Ragan, of Hot Water Music, who’s currently touring with Nichols, does a wobbly, fairly raucous version of “Wreck of the Old 97” that’s not bad. There’s only a clip of the Dresden Dolls’ take on “Ballad of a Teenage Queen” on Punknews and the song’s not available for download on iTunes, but at least based on the clip, it’s got a distinctive southwest psychedelic Lee Hazelwood feel, with some saw and maracas thrown in, and is probably the best of the bunch.

The rest, from pop-punks like the Bouncing Souls and MxPx, ranges from boring to flat terrible.
