But now it’s online for free reading, and it’s getting noticed. Today, on his New Yorker blog, Sasha Frere-Jones calls it a “gorgeous piece of writing” and says that it’s “a tonic; the brief sections set up a rhythm uncommon in most nonfiction in general and criticism in particular.”
