“Shotgun Stories,” the debut feature from Little Rock native Jeff Nichols, continues to rack up accolades. Earlier this week, the film won the jury prize for narrative feature at the Austin Film Festival. This follows it taking the top prize in the Seattle International Film Festival in June and scoring a place as one of New York magazine’s top 10 films to see at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
We hear rumors that the film, which tracks a feud between two sets of half-brothers and was set in and around Scott and Little Rock, will get its Little Rock debut before the year’s out. Stay tuned.

Also, a nice piece about Nichols and the film in the Austin Chronicle.
