North Little Rock rapper XXzotic has been nominated for two Southern Entertainment Awards (SEAs). She’s on the ballot for “Female Mixtape Artist” (even though she didn’t put out a new mixtape this year) and “Song of the Year” for the remix to “Caught Up,” featuring Pimp C of U.G.K. We’re still keeping our fingers crossed that her long delayed debut album, “First Among Equals,” will get released sometime this year. The title track is streaming on her MySpace page now (www.myspace.com/xxzotic).

Spoon, the increasingly popular Austin, Texas, indie rock band, comes back to Arkansas to play another college show. On Sept. 30, at 7 p.m., the band will play the Chi Omega Greek Theatre in Fayetteville. Admission is free and open to the public. Apostle of Hustle, the post-rock offshoot of Broken Social Scene, opens.
