Ok, by golly. It’s season finale of The Sopranos. I went to their accredited cookbook and made the pizza you see above. Ellen also made baked ziti for the freezer. The pizza is simple and good. It doesn’t hurt to have fresh basil leaves to put on top.

UPDATE: The ziti recipe.

Chop up an onion and cook with a pound of crumbled hamburger (you can replace about a quarter of it with a crumbled Italian sausage link.) Stir in a couple of jars, the standard size, of your favorite spaghetti sauce. Prego standard is our pick.

Cook and drain a pound of ziti.

You’ll need six ounces of sliced provolone, six to eight ounces of mozzarella, shredded parmesan and one cup of sour cream.

In a 9×13 casserole put down a layer of half the ziti, then all the sliced provolone. Then spread the sour cream on top of the cheese. Then spread half the sauce. Then another layer of ziti, then the mozzarella, then the remaining sauce. Cover the top with parmesan. .  Bake in a 350 oven for about 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
