Matt Smith is everywhere. Judging the AT Musicians Showcase one night, in Ohio the next. He's even made me a new fan of tequila. Matt rocks with the Supernova Tour in his latest update to Little Rocking and "Where in the World is Matt Smith":
Damn … could I be more behind on my blogs or what? I got to put the bottle and suitcase down for about a minute! So here we go … after the Buckcherry
and Three days Grace gig two weeks back, I left for Ohio. What is in Ohio? Well I had to
visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and see the Cleveland Cavaliers play in that city. I hit the Hard Rock Café and The House Of Blues – as is my ha
Columbus was the next stop and we strolled around the Ohio State University campus. Large campus and these guys were No. 2 in the nation for NCAA football last year. We flew out of the Cincinnati airport by the way ... Cleveland, Canton, Columbus, Cinci… guess that covers Ohio, right?
Wait – why did we go? SUPERNOVA TOUR with TOMMY LEE and what a great tour
it is! There are four bands on this tour. The opening band features Toby
Rand and it is called Jukekartel and you can find them on MySpace @ www.myspace.com/jukekartel
He was great - did about six songs and had a little meet
The best time – a cover of AC/DC “Highway” to hell with Dave Navarro from Panic Channel. Dave’s group was next and had the best audience response so far. They brought the rock and were quickly followed by the high point of the evening – Tommy Lee and SUPERNOVA!!! Lucas Rossi is doing a great job as the front man for this group. He belts them out. He is working hard to develop a unique case of LSD – Lead Singer Disease. Lucas and Tommy carry this group. They are the stars and that is why people attend the show.

We went to the sound check, went in to the dressing rooms and of course got some guitars signed. I have some pics up now – with more to follow. SUPERNOVA drew a crowd of less than 10,000 to the venue at Ohio State University. This is a mediocre response from a large city – so no one should expect this tour to be extended.
The band also features Gilby Clarke, formerly of Guns & Roses. Gilby is a great rhythm guitar player. He doesn’t make much of an impact as the lead guitar maestro. It isn’t him. That is just not a roll he seems comfortable in. But hey – in G-n-R all he had to do was cover the three basic cords and keep Slash or Axle from running him down on stage.

cares? I didn’t. If you do – www.myspace.com/sirjohnnycolt
Great fun backstage and over all this was an entertaining show and a good
