It's being billed as the "All New, All Live 135th Edition" as the Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus
makes its way to Alltel Arena
Aug. 24-27, arena officia
ls announced today.
"All new"? Remember what P.T. Barnum said. Certainly it will be all new for the kids, who are the target audience for this extravaganza and the mega-sale of merchandise that goes with it, compliments of Feld Entertainment out of Florida, the promoter.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, plus 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Looks as if we're getting one less show than the last time this circus came here, in 2004.
Tickets won't go on sale until Monday, July 24, at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets or the arena box office. Prices start at $11.75 all the way to $42.75 for front row seats ($27.75 just behind those) and $65.75 for the Circus Celebrity tix. Consider yourself warned, though: Save some money for the merchandise, or be prepared to tell your kid to stop crying for about an hour of the show. We've been there.
By the way, "America's Best Clown," as rated by Time Magazine, Bello Nock
, will be back again. Ty McFarlan
, the circus' newest ringmaster, will lead the crew this trip, and the show also includes Mr. and Mrs. Cannonball, Brian and Tina Miser
