Join us on the other side of the river around 6 p.m. (or even a little later because it's always cool to be fashionably late, right?) for a street party in downtown North Little Rock with free sno-cones, hot dogs and the like, plus Trout Fishing in America, that great acoustic duo of Keith and Ezra who always make the songs fun for kids of ALL ages. The party's in the 500 block of Main Street in North Little Rock, in front of the new Argenta Branch of the William Laman Library system. Again, it's all free, in case you missed that earlier. Sure, it's a bit hot out there, so dress down a lot and have some fun.
Also, "1964" The Tribute, an absolutely spot-on Beatles sing-alike, look-alike and play-alike group out of Ohio, will appear at Robinson Center starting at 8 p.m. They were terrific last year at Robinson, providing some really fun entertainment for all ages, and it has all the feel of a Beatles appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show," with pretty much a stark stage with just the boys in their suits and retro-authentic guitars, amps and drums. You'll really think you're actually seeing the Beatles in the early 1960s, if you don't look too close for these guys' wrinkles (they've been doing this for 22 years or more). Tickets are available at the Robinson box office on the ground floor, east of the Music Hall.
