Chilson's exhibit drew a big crowd

comment

According to reports from some of our people at the show, Times photographer Brian Chilson's art exhibit opening at the Historic Arkansas Museum last Friday drew a nice-sized crowd. Besides the great art on display -- from politicians to sports stars to the musicians Brian has photographed while here at the Times -- Sean Rock and Roland Gladden provided music during the three-hour event.

In sort of a "saw you there" moment, local singer-songwriter Sara Thomas and Localist publisher T.J. Deeter dropped in (that's them along with Roland Gladden, who's on the right). All in all, the HAM folks said it was a big success.

Chilson's photos are now being displayed at HAM on various walls in the complex. They'll be up through the weekend, when folks from all over the nation descend on Little Rock, the HAM and other venues downtown for the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies national convention.
