Bring the kids, bring a blanket or the chairs, bring your beverages of choice, bring a picnic basket if you want, but mainly make sure and bring yourselves to the "Movies in the Park" showing of the terrific animated film "Shrek" at Riverfest Amphitheatre. It's free, and beverages are also available for purchase, plus there are plenty of welcoming restaurants in the River Market district to serve any hunger pangs.
Anyway, the park opens at 6 p.m. and the show starts at dark, which will be a little afer 8 p.m. See you there. And, also, remember that more movies are coming this way during the summer, with the celebration of the River Market's 10th anniversary.
