KILLER SOUGHT: Bird killed by gunshot. Game and Fish Commission

The Game and Fish Commission says a $6,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in  the killing of a bald eagle in Drew County.

The eagle was found March 28 near Tennessee Spur Road west of Monticello. The Little Rock Zoo staff determined the female eagle died of a gunshot wound. The dead bird was found near a nest, leading to the belief that the bird was tending the nest at time of death.
