Here's the open line and a question: Have you been to Oklahoma
yet with your now-activated Arkansas medical marijuana card
? If not, be warned there are complications.
Yes, we have no medical cannabis for sale in Arkansas yet.
But, Oklahoma? The waving weed can meet your need, to borrow from a famous song. But again. You can't simply drive over to Pocola and slap down the card, as KARK/Fox 16 reports here.
You have to apply for a temporary permit to purchase. There's a 14-day waiting period. Then it costs $100 for 30 days.
And given the Reefer Madness signals emanating from Gov. Asa Hutchinson and his administration officials, I'd watch out then for Smokeys interdicting ailing Arkies with bags of pain-relieving edibles, just as they once vigorously kept a lookout for untaxed Coors. So far, about 7,000 Arkansans have obtained a card to buy the product, approved by voters in November 2016 and still unavailable.
