KARK reports that a man is in critical condition after Little Rock Police Department officers shot him in the parking lot of a Motel 6 at 10524 W. Markham. Police say that they were patrolling the area and attempted to check a suspicious vehicle; when two officers approached the vehicle, the driver reversed and rammed into a police car.

No officers were injured in the incident. Two fired their weapons and are on administrative paid leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, as mandated by LRPD policy.
