Razorback football coach Chad Morris' home purchase has hit the public records in Washington County. He has more expensive tastes than the previous head coach.

According to the assessor's records, the property transferred May 7 to Chad and Paula Morris at an estimated sale price of $3.8 million, based on $12,540 worth of revenue stamps ($3.30 per $1,000 of consideration.) The assessor put the estimated market value, on which the tax rate is pegged, at $2.429 million. (An office employee told me residential properties in the county  generally appraise below market and are readjusted at general appraisals, with the exception of new house sales being pegged to sale price) The house (two actually) on Horse Meadow Drive east of town out toward Goshen sits on about 3 acres of land and includes a 42-foot pool.

Here's a description from Zillow:

Unbelievably Stunning One of a Kind Home. This custom home is truly a livable piece of Art. Construction began in 2010 & was completed 2016. With just over 13,500 SF this home boasts 10 bedrooms, 9 full baths & 2 half baths. There is not one part of this house that isn't completely custom. (Main House has 11,616 SF & Guest House is 1,975 SF. Main home houses 7 bedrooms, 6 full baths & 2 half baths. Guest House is 3 BR, 3 Full BA) and so much more.
Morris is stepping up in house class from the previous coach, Bret Bielema, who just sold his Fayetteville place for $1.8 million. Morris is paid $3.5 million a year (though that could top $5 million if, say, he won a national championship and all the boys made good grades.) Bielema was making $4.2 million in his sixth year when he got the boot.
